CIT-U has a new breed of Wildcats
Cebu Institute of Technology University, which has consistently produced top placers in the country’s various professional licensure exams, is an institution continuously developing values-driven, highly competent, and innovative students.
This year, CIT-University Wildcats is eager to get on the champions roster of Cebu’s collegiate sports league, an achievement that has eluded them since the inaugural season of CESAFI in 2001, when former wildcat Jerry Cavan was named the CESAFI basketball’s Most Valuable Player. In the finals that year, the Wildcats were defeated by one point by the UV Green Lancers in overtime, 80-79.
This season, with the help of the veteran coach Coach Edsel Vallena, the CIT-University Wildcats is ready for better things to come. With an almost all-new lineup, the CIT-University Wildcats has that “never-give-up” passion, until that last minute of the game, till the last drop of sweat.
With a simple goal of “happy na kung makadaug (we will be happy if we win),” the young team is giving Season 19 their all. They might be young, but remember, the youngest lion, makes the loudest roar. —Devin John Piamonte, CESAFI Media Bureau
